Would u rather enter a room full of bees, or rather walk on knives? The 2 most scariest stunts performed by Jack Neo n Sharon Au respectively...
Personally i find Sharon's stunts more dangerous... An accidental slip would lead to hands and feet being cut n blood being shed... Was feeling scared and worried for Sharon all the way... Jack Neo's bees seem like normal friendly honey bees, but of coz, i would not deny the risk of the stunt. I am just so glad they got through safely! But dun u all agree that Sharon's stunt is just toooo dangerous???!!! Couldn't bear to watch at times! And that Cao, ask Jack Neo to remove his head covering and risk his head n neck to the bees... It's like, he just stand there and talk, he even dared to mention earlier... last year, wasnt it him who ask desmond to jump onto jack's stomach when he was lying in a sea of glass?? He said he will perform something next year, better mark his words!
Kudos to all the performers who spent time n effort coming all the way to Singapore to support the show... All the performers deserve a great round of applause! Even Sun Ho's, who i dun really like, but what she did was not what i would have expected, wow, painful... and i already hear critics that what she did was uncalled for, got put ma2 zhui4 yao4, was a mockery to the dialysis patients seeing needles poking into flesh once again... Give her a break! Stop criticising if it's just plain biasness against her. At least she did put in some effort.
With more dangerous stunts, there will be critics once again, complaining the stunts are too dangerous and uncalled for, when everyone can just sing and perform, ya know, those safe stuff. (Which I think it's not a bad idea osso lor...) But we learn in marketing, everything needs to be differentiated in order to sell. And yeah, NKF targetting the teenagers now, with Energy and Mayday n Lin You Wei etc... coz can use handphone and sms, and we know every streetwise teengaer has one nowadays. And it works, beautiful explosive telephone figures at the end of the show. All at the risk of artistes' lives... Haiz. U have to agree that NKF is good in marketing.
My favourite performer... Fan Wei Qi! Enjoyed her "Qi Cheng", thought the song really suits the show... To have hope and everyday is a brand new day... Mi Xue's one osso very pro, fly here fly there... haha...
It's easy for us to say, Be strong, we have not gone through what they have gone through. Just a few exams, a few projects, a few presentations and we are complaining and grumbling. When we should be grateful for a university education and make the best out of it. When others have to work and support their family. When others have to go for dialysis 3 times a week, 4 hours each session. When others have no means of support. When others have only tears to shed. When others find loneliness as their friend.
When was the last time we make an impact in other people's lives? I said "we" because i am saying that to myself too... we are all guilty. Watched "Passion of Christ" on saturday, well, i sae once again the ugly side of human nature, of betrayal and hate, resulting in the sufferings and persecutions of Jesus and His followers. ("Passion" in this case refers to the Catholic context, meaning sufferings.) And i wonder, what sort of love is it that truly compels a mortal to allow himself to be subjected to such humiliation and pain, even to the extent of crucifixtion? This show is more about the last hours of Jesus, so one can forget it if one hopes to gain knowledge of the gospels just by watching the movie. Blood and gore. You find a lot of this in the movie. But u will find some worthwhile scenes too, of loyalty, of faith and of love. Like Mary running towards Jesus.
We all do not know what tomorrow may bring. May we make an impact in people's lives everyday.
