Went for an old friend's church wedding on Sat... She's quite a small-sized gal, but donning on a wedding gown gives her a totally different look, so pretty and like a princess. Got to see the bride and conveyed my blessings to her while she was in one of the rooms behind. Congratz to her and hope she will have a blissful marriage!

My first seeing a communion and the Trinity candles in a church wedding... Interesting.

Dint see any of my old church friends there though... except for 1 or 2... Though I could catch up with a bunch of them over the reception time, but none. Left straight after the ceremony coz I didn't think there was a suitable slot for me for the photo-taking, and i dint see any old friends either. Haiz.

Happy studying all! To be positive, it's the 2nd last time we can bia for exams, so let's treasure it! Yay! Tell yourself, "I love exams! I love books! I love exams and books! I love FRS! I love readings!"

sigh...

The recent weekend was a less stressed one coz 2 of my modules' projects have been completed!
Namely... Image hosted by Photobucket.com (AA205 Control & Risk Mgt)

and... Image hosted by Photobucket.com(AA206 Business Analysis n Valn)

Great!! Now I am only left with...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
AB311 Strag Mgt

(It's a pure screenshot. I somehow get this hinge that maybe another group might be using the same background. But we are the 2nd team, so as long as KJ's team doesn't use this, we should be fine!
Btw, dun u guys feel the "VS" makes the slide look more chio? Haa)

N yeah, my PE presentations... sianz... My PE presentations slides do look pretty sucky, maybe I should do something...

And heng, MINDEF allowed me to be exempted from the Det IC briefing, but i'll still be Det IC! Hmmmm. Although not going for the briefing gives me an extra day of study (which is very very important), I won't really mind going for it anyway since I am still a Det IC n it may be useful. The main reason why I request for deferment for the briefing was that many of my peers won't be going back too coz they have exact exams on that day. Save for the NUS guys though, who wun be having exams yet (I think), and maybe they have to go afterall.

Was wondering bout my next year's reservist. Hope it wun crash with my travel plans n my new career. Not finalised yet, thinking too much, but i need to plan ahead mah...

I guess... it should be time to study? My first paper is next week. Wah...

I like this song on my blog, 光良 -" 如果你还爱我".

The lyrics that especially strike me are:

...难道早以注定 不能真正拥有你
难道我真心付出一切 只为了承受孤单和寂寞
我知道你不敢对我坦白 是不要看到我的伤怀...

Really a sad song...

Today's IP class i learnt that there is no equality in patent law, as there will always be a conflict with public interest. Especially in the case of medicine n pharmuetical products... Where patents are issued for such products, it turns out that usually only the rich can afford them. HIV is prevalent in Africa, but can the poor people in Africa ever be able to afford? Answer is usually no... Sad rite.

Glimpse of the week...

  • Big 4 applications deadline... Last minute filling the difficult parts... Well since I don't really want to think now where to go, might as well fill in all 4... I should be going to one of them anyway, not to any banks or what. Still dun understand why ppl study Acc, go banks or elsewhere not Acc. And those are usually the high-fliers. Can't fathom their minds...
  • A cramp in my right leg woke me up from my sleep on sat morning... Wondered why. Maybe coz of a funny dream. The cramp left me in pain for 5 minutes before i dozed off to sleep again...
  • My application photo. It doesn't look like me, coz it looks too good! The photographer had photoshop-ed it before he printed it out, and my face looks super smooth on the photo. Haa... But anyway suddenly 2 of my friends had praised my skin for looking better... So maybe I dun differ from my photo that much.
  • My home PC is going crazy again. When did that damn MyWeb thingy, which is a damn spyware, install itself onto the com?? Couldn't remove it despite running Spybot many times. Secondly, my CD drive is suddenly not recognized by the PC. The "D" drive just vanished from my computer. I hate to open it up again and check the cables...
  • 31 fainted in her single room... The dangers of living in a single room! Passed her my tax notes and glad that she's looking better! Take care!
  • Realised that cufflinks can only be worn on shirts that support cufflinks. And to think I was figuring out how to fit my cufflinks into my cuffs. Cut a hole? Remove the button? Haa...

Happy over the weekend, coz I bought Yanzi's newest album, "A Perfect Day"/《完美的一天》!

Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.com

Yanzi's new album is very refreshing as there are more light-hearted songs in here than before... Better light-hearted and upbeat songs too! I find the fast songs more appealing than the slow weepy songs this time, and hearing the album really makes my day! And the cover is very nice too! Oh I got freebies: a free bottle of deodorant and a $20 Partyworld voucher!

Take this song on my blog... It's called "First Day" and it stands for:
F.I.R.
Stefanie Sun
MayDay

Yesh its a collaboration between them! Creative!

Went for the Big 4 Networking Night last night in Audi... Well of course the food is great, some of the freebies are not bad too, but of course, the emphasis is on the networking...

Went around the 4 companies to find out more about each... Most of them are quite friendly and patient, giving useful insights. Interesting.

Still pondering which to apply for. Ok maybe all... But in the end, I still have to decide which one should be my ultimate choice...

Programme Description

The intern will be given the opportunity to participate in an exciting pilot testing of new concept/design at the virtual Learning Lab having a community of key customer touchpoints (face-to-face and/or phone) of the bank. The intern will be exposed to the overall approach on how to conduct pilot-testing in real-life setting, learn to make on-site observation and take measurements, as well as be involved in fune-tuning concepts and making change recommendations.

OCBC was my 5th choice. And it's no wonder i got into it, coz it accepted a total of 25 (-edited-) interns! Anyway that particular prog wasn't what I applied for. I applied for another one but got into this... But eh, sounds fun?

1st choice: Chio Lim only 3...
2nd choice: LTC 3 too
3rd choice: Foo Kon Tan only 3 also...

OCBC also got people I know a little like Thiam Meng, Kelly, Wee Tin as well as people whom i dun really know e.g. L, bimbos... Different departments tho...

Without warning, next month, there will be explosions (TODAY)

SOME time in November or December, bomb blasts will be heard in as many as four MRT stations here. The Ministry of Home Affairs wants to know how well- prepared Singaporeans are if terrorists strike and, unlike other SCDF exercises, Singaporeans won't have a choice as to whether or not they want to take part.

There will be no warning, no schedule. If you happen to be a commuter at the selected stations ・and the exercise is likely to take place during peak hours ・Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng is waiting to see how ready you are.

"Please cooperate with us, please carry on as normal, but at the same time please play a part. But as to when it will happen, we will not say ・there is no warning by terrorists before they bomb a station," said Mr Wong in an exclusive interview with Today.

In fact, when he heard about the July 7 terror attacks on London's subway trains, his thoughts turned naturally to Singapore."I thought, despite all the preparations they've made, it has happened to them. Which means, despite all the preparations that we're making, or have made, it can happen to us," said Mr Wong, who is also the Home Affairs Minister.

He commended the London authorities and Londoners for the way in which they dealt with the attacks. Would Singaporeans be as brave? "I hope they would respond the same way," said Mr Wong.

The exercise in November may offer some clues, though officials here started taking notes much earlier.Soon after the London blasts, a team of police officers from Singapore visited London to see what lessons could be drawn from the tragedy.

Mr Wong was coy about sharing details. "The last thing you want to do is to let the enemy know what you're doing."But he added: "We've learned a lot. And in time, we'll share that with others ・But looking at how Londoners reacted to the bombing, and how they went about their normal lives, I think that is something Singaporeans should learn."

His greatest fear is that if, or when, terrorists succeed in hitting Singapore, its citizens will flee. "We have to make sure that we can't be defeated by this," he said. "If a bomb explodes and (people) run away, I think the terrorists will have won. We cannot let ourselves be defeated by our own doing; we have to stand up and say: 'No, we must persist and we must carry on.'"

Eh, exciting??

Fiddling with Google Earth at home again... Today then discover that I can put placements on there, so I dun have to manually find the places every time... Searched and navigated to my home, AHS, TPJC n my ex-1 SIR camp again... Realised that Tekong is actually quite big, and there's actually this teeny little isle (or rather, piece of land) next to Tekong too... Can't see NTU though, it's not covered by close satellite, can only see green green and vague buildings...

Watched 《康熙来了》 last night, and it was the farewell show for 徐熙娣 aka 小S. They were trying to make it into a happy farewell type of show and they did, with lotsa jokes in the last episode still. In case u dint know, 徐熙娣 is pregnant and her hubby wants her to stay at home now until she gives birth. Thus, she'll be leaving her work until she gives birth, and she promised she'll be back next year. Will be looking forward till then... The show would definitely not be as interesting without her...

I searched for the show on the internet and I found this book:

I wonder how they can package the jokes in a book! Still funny meh? I am curious... haha
