I handed up my PE assignment today! That's good, but...

My group is supposed to present our project today. But... The tutor lags horribly, and last week's one, didn't present last week. Instead they presented today. Tutor wanted to squeeze both theirs and ours in this seminar, but he realised for them, there are more things to talk about than he thought.

So he postponed ours.
Postpone still never mind la... Kinda expected.
Guess what? He postponed ours to the 12th aka last semiar!!! HUH!!!

U see, my PE class got mixture of NBS and other school students (who are taking the simplified course, MBxxx). For the following weeks, they need not come for lessons coz not in their syallbus. They can just come for the last seminar.

This project we are presenting, our tutor felt that it would concern them. Since he already announced they did not come for the next few weeks, he decided to postpone ours to the LAST seminar! What the???!!!

In fact, tutor is lagging so badly, he said a catch-up class might be required. Those seminar questions are still unanswered since sem 5...

But yeah, tutor is a nice guy basically, just that he lags horribly...
Sigh. 苦命啊!

Watched the vampire show on Ch 8... It's really quite nice, i thought. Actually i only started watching it last week, and I am wondering now what was shown in the first few episodes. Think the first series was broadcasted when I was in JC... That time, almost everyone was hooked on the Vampire show. Watching this show now sure brings back some memories.

Many people said the first series is the best, then the 2nd sucks, and for the 3rd it's not bad (those who d/l it). I dint really catch the 2nd one, tink it was during my NS period? But i remembered i caught some episodes and I thought it was quite funny...

I am not a very good critic of shows, as long as the show catches my attention and gets me hooked on, I will love it. And often I get hooked on easily, especially when there are shows of the fantasy and paranomal (not scary ghost shows!) So i say My Date with a Vampire III seems a good show!

I hate to make decisions... Decisions like which essay topic to choose from 4 questions. And all 4 are equally hard to write... Or maybe I just dunno the topics well...

I wrote one for 300 words before deciding I have to change topic. To a more boring and technical one. Then, what if later, there's nothing to write for this topic also? Siao liao!

This coming wednesday must hand in and I am still stuck... 20% leh! Wish me luck...

I downloaded and installed Google Desktop and it has given me this problem:

When I have many IE explorers open, clicking one of them at the toolbar will not open it. Thus if I want to go the IE I want, I have to minimize the existing windows before I can reach my desired IE.

Irritating! Now I dunno what to do now...

And oh yeah, Google Talk is really so simple, it's very boring. Anyway add me if u have Google Talk too. User ID is same as my blog one lor...

Watched Survivor last friday and wasn't disappointed with it. Seems like a tough episode, with the first challenge so exhausting, it left many of the guys dehydrated. And Stephanie and Bobby Jon is back too! So glad that Step's tribe won immunity, even though they lost the 1st challenge of having a nicer place to stay.
Gee... Actually I wonder why they came back... Haven't they had enough?? Anyway, personally, I would prefer Step to be in my tribe rather than Bobby... Step is def smarter and more of a motivator.

Deadlines aproaching next week... uuuuuurgh.....

Backing data

Monday, September 12

Have u backed your data?

AA205: There's this risk of your hard disk failing. What is your risk appetite? Can u bear all your data being lost?
The appropriate risk respones would be to reduce the risk of losing your data by backing up. U may also avoid it by scanning and fragmenting it regularly. Expensive to get a new hard disk? Do ur cost-benefit analysis and align with your objective. Do a risk assessment...
(So AA205 ah... i just visited my iCEE company mah... Mind all filled with it...)

Anyway, I accepted the risk most unfortunately, and there's this chance i may lose all my data! Well if my hard disk fails, let's hope they can recover the data in it... All my pics, mtvs, mp3s, past projects, interesting stuff, bookmarks, contacts, arrrgh!!

I can't imagine rebuilding my stuff from scratch!
Crap.

I was in my room when i heard a familiar sound... it was a sound i had remembered from NS... and i looked out of the window and saw a mortar illum bomb in the sky! Wasn't fast enough to capture a photo of it as I was just looking at it and kinda reminded of the great days then again.

It's sem break, and we NTU people complain how fast the semester passes us... Half a sem liao. And projects and assignments due, and presentations coming up. Then exams. Then PA. But we have to be reminded too, that we are approaching the last quarter of 2005 too. It's gonna be another year gone again. It's fast that half a sem is gone, it's even faster that another year will be whizzing us by.

A few months left, and let's treasure every day left of year 2005.

Allocation results for some PA firms are still not out. My other choice is Ritz-Carlton, and I dun really know my feelings if I got it/shortlisted. There's just this possibility that Phase 2 may have other companies that are also interesting/enriching. But now, it's in the hands of fate. I just want a useful PA experience la.

Shifted the equipment in my room a bit. Placed the hi-fi in a more prominent corner, and now I can sit on the floor and study or read with the hi-fi there. Hmmm the main point is that my room is now more spacious than before, and I like this new arrangement.

Eating some grapes now, and i just got this feeling that friends are like grapes. Some grapes, u pop into your mouth and there it goes. Some are just temporary friends, or perhaps simply acquaintances.

Some are like raisins. U keep them for a longer period of time... Gone through the sun drying process. But in the end over some time, it has wrinkled and has proved to be as poppable as the grapes.

Others are like wine, exquisite wine. Been through intensive process and can be kept for a long long time. In fact, the longer the wine is been stored, the more precious it will become. Like true friends, whom u want to keep for a long long time.

Grape seeds can also be sowed and grown into grape trees to get more grapes. Erm maybe this is more like ur future wives/husbands...

Anyway, my grapes that i am eating now are juicy and sweet. =)

Suddenly, really all of a sudden, i feel very busy sia...

Let's stress up!

AA205 - iCEE. Dateline end of this month... wah!
Readings...
And how many of us really understand about AA205??

AA206 - Presentation next Tuesday...
PHB (chime book) and FRSes readings still uncompleted
(Report? Haven't stress me yet, still long...)

AB311 - The textbook! I literaly forgot to read it!
Weekly cases... *huh*?? (Porter's 5 forces all the way)
Project... even haven't choose companies...

BL246 - Readings! I just revised Sem 2 only...
(PE) Report due end of month! (almost forgot...)
Presentation project... After term break!

AB329 - wtf is this?? FYP la! So much to do...

Ok my term break schedule:

Mon: iCEE meet-up, plus possibly AA206 presentation meet-up

Tues: Make-up for AA206 + presentation

Wed: Grooming workshop (can relax! But 1 whole day sia... )

Thurs: Hopefully, rest? But i think need to meet up with PE group.

Fri: End-Note workshop

I think i feel so busy is because of the upcoming term break...
(Then why still call it term break?? Where's my ktv time?? Where's my sleep-whole-day??)

Actually i am looking forward to the exams, ya know... Coz projects would have died down, and i'll have time to revise. I mean, I have my own time finally then lor... And i think the exam periods are less stressed than what is being experienced now... Maybe nbs wants us to pre-experience the long working hours of audit now...

Come one, let's geeeeeear up!!

(Late post from friday)

Friday night, I went to the Jack Daniel's event @ Chijmes with my Hall friends... Thanks to CY for the invitation cards (but apparently, they dun seem to be required). Free flow of Jack Daniel's for 1.5 hours, but they mixed so little JD with so much Coke, u couldn't be drunk. Take more? Look at the queue *gosh* ! I drank about 4 cups only I think... but at least the food was nice...

Oh yeah, mi yk n pq took a cab here... bloody traffic jam! We took about 45 mins lor, almost the same time taken by MRT, but we paid so much more! grrr...

结束的开始

Sunday, September 4

And so, tonight, the 1st Superstar of S'pore was borned, and the award goes no other than to Mr Kelvin Tan Wei Lian!

Nope, no photos of him... Yeah I am biased!

But yeah, the result is simply expected... Hmmm... The overall show was quite nice, save for the awful messy dance right in the beginning, and the occasional sound system breakdowns, and the subtitles problem...

Judge Fang Zhong Hua was still pretty lame for the whole night, actually he's my fav judge because of his 绝对 lameness! What 观音菩萨 with 金童玉女... LOL *pengz*

Kelly's fans were amazing... Beach boys and Egyptian mummies! The mummies were so funny, especially when they were swaying to JJ's n Kelly's "木乃伊"!

Great seeing Jiaxin on stage again, even though she sang for only a while for "野蛮游戏" plus 伴奏 for Kelly...

Xinhui's and Junyang's solo and duet were marvellous!!! And I finally heard a male n female superstar singing a duet, and they sang my fav "屋顶"! Not to forget that both of them had such great 默契 while singing that song that I think Candyce would be jealous of! I think that duet was the best song in the whole show (as much as i preferred kelly)!

So no more Superstar for the following weeks liao... sigh...
