Defn of bimbo n himbo

Tuesday, August 30

After checking Dictionary.com, i have to admit, No!! We are not himbos!! A harsh definition is given onto both himbos n bimbos on that online dic...

bim·bo Pronunciation Key (bmb)n. pl. bim·bos
1. Slang. A woman regarded as vacuous or as having an exaggerated interest in her sexual appeal.
2. Slang. A vacuous person: “a male bimbo... who even has to be tutored... in the clichés that comprise the basic interview” (George F. Will).

Huh? WTH is "vacuous"??

vac·u·ous Pronunciation Key (vky-s)adj.
1. Devoid of matter; empty.
2. Lacking intelligence; stupid.
3. Devoid of substance or meaning; inane: a vacuous comment.
4. Devoid of expression; vacant: “The narrow, swinelike eyes were open, no more vacuous in death than they had been in life” (Nicholas Proffitt).
5. Lacking serious purpose or occupation; idle.

Oh... And adding onto the other difinition of bimbo found...

bimbo
n : a young woman indulged by rich and powerful older men

Sounds like eh, prostitues...
Hmmmm... Now for the male version of bimbo ie. himbo:

Main Entry: himbo
Part of Speech:
noun
Definition: a male bimbo, male who uses his good lucks but is superficial and unintelligent
Etymology: him `male' + (bim)bo
Usage: slang

Therefore, we are NOT himbos....
And I learnt a new word today, "Vacuous"!

Everything is there for a purpose. When you wear a shirt, have you ever wondered what a collar is for?

Isn't a collar meant to protect the neck? Why should it be collars-down then?? Makes no sense! Thus I wore a polo tee on fri, with the collars up!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I didn't meant to act cute... Taken during aa206, when WH thot ppl with collars up are juz so *???!!!* n he told me to strike this pose... Even showed everyone and mms zh... how simply boh liao...

********************************
Some Year 2s are so irritating... I am not speaking about the Yr 2s in general, but to a particular group...

*In the midst of lecturing during seminar*
A: " (stupid question)"
Tutor: (answers)
*Continue teaching with slides*
A: " (silly question)"
Tutor: (answers)
B (Another student from same clique): "What if...?"
OR "But then..."
Tutor: (answers...)
C (same clique): "So u mean... does that...?"

And thus, we are slow by 1 seminar, thanks to them. That happened many times ok during seminar 2! Heng ah, A didn't come on seminar 3...
I dun call that class particpitation lor.

That clique!!

Another incident:
*before lessons start*
C (same person as above) : Hi! How many people do u guys have?
Guy: 3
*blah blah blah, and she joined their group*
Nothing wrong right? Until...
C (to 1 of the guys, X): Oh could u give yourself an English name? I can't remember Chinese names well, so I will forget your name soon!

When I heard that, I was stunned! Hur hur!
Feel like slapping that bitch! A Chinese name is sooo hard to remember? And she is a Chinese?
Not only that, it's X's problem that she can't remember his name?? Even ang moh tutors dun request their students to give themselves an English name, so what right does she think she have?

And I can't believe X's friend said jokingly, Ha you could call him Orange. I wondered why until he explained that since X is Mandarin-speaking, thus Mandarin Orange. Diaoz! That wasn't even lame... Isn't him X's friend?? Not on X's side meh??

Interesting class, ah?
But heng, i think my group quite nice, coz I know my junior, and her friends are nice people too! =)

I was chatting on msn while checking my yahoo mail, and I accidentally, clicked on a link...
http://www.asiapromotions.com/voyage_cpf.html

I thought it was some stupid advertising thingy, but it was a game... Being curious, i played... and I must admit, it was kinda interesting and fun! It's a game on CPF stuff, the main part in the MCQ questions. Managed to apply some of my FM fundamentals, haa... but the rest weren't so easy...

And I realised the CPF website wasn't that user-friendly, click here link there and I still can;t find my answer...

In the end, this is my score!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

And there are fabulous prizes to be won, kindly sponsored by Apple... iPod minis for the top 3 scorers each month! Wow! But the highest scores are like 4xx,xxx. Either they must be really proficient in their CPF knowledge, or they keep replaying the game until they memorise each single answer...

Nothing seems to be going really well these few weeks... As though something went wrong with my luck or what. It's like a downhill thingy, and then all sorts of thoughts start creeping into my mind. Bad thoughts. Evil thoughts. Horrible thoughts.

In spite of the heavy workload, I need to find some time to... cut my hair, buy a new bag, etc etc... Hope those will help...

PS results

Friday, August 19

TV lounge... We reached there after the female results are announced, and for a few minutes, we were delighted coz Kelly got in! Ok I am not sure how many were exactly happy, I guess the audience were spilt over Kelly n Sin Huey, but nonetheless I was overjoyed.

A few minutes later after a break, they were going to announce to male champion. Now I am for sure, 99% of the people in the lounge were rooting for Junyang to win! In fact, we sorta expect JY to win...

Until the bloody face that appeared on the Jackpot was Wei Lian!

*Stunned* And then chaos and screamings! Now with the Blk 65 gals around plus a few others (like erm, me), there was a great hoo-ha in the lounge! Everyone simply couldn't apprehend the results! "What happened??" 哪里可能??” "Wa Lau Eh!!"

Nothing to say now...

Hope to see u again, Junyang~!

Go Kelly go! I have always believed in u! U are the only hope for Project Superstar now! U muz win dat person!

So I am supposed to select 2 firms for PA, but I am still hesistating. Well if I could take an hour in NTUC just to choose a bottle of shampoo, I guess I will take a while more to decide on the firm and department...

I am so indecisive. It seems to be a perfect excuse to say it's because I am a Libra. But then, I just think too much, I feel. And in the end, I will still leave it to fate.

PA will mean another stage of my life. It takes away the last holidays I could possibly have. It takes up my time for my FYP. PA means that I am going to graduate soon, and I must adapt myself to the working world.

Sometimes I just feel like starting my own business... Open a cafe. Or to work in that particular field that I am so interested in.

I am really so not interested in PA... sigh.

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to good manners and elegance.

In love, you feel the most alive when your partner is patient and never willing to give up on you.

You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.
Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage something you've always wanted... though you haven't really thought about it.
In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

What Are The Keys To Your Heart?
It's JCRC rally tomorrow, when after 2 years, I can finally be part of the audience! And ask questions! *bomb* *bomb* Can't be too mean either, I still have a upcoming AGM...
Feeling quite lack of sleep... I just want to lie down someday and sleep from a dark sky and wake up to a dark sky too! And have some nice dreams too along in the sleep!

Hall Round Islang supper, ICT outing

Happy Birthday Singapore!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I hope you will be prosperous and continue to grow economically and socially! Even though I cannot attend your big birthday celebration at the big grass patch, may you have a happy birthday!

Hmmm I think I sound stupid...

*Anyway* I had a nice Fri and Sat!

On Friday, my Hall had a round-island supper. It had to be my last mass supper outing liaoz, and we sure had great times, during eating and on the buses too! Singing on the buses does bring back nice memories, coz our OG was one which liked to sing everywhere we went! Pop songs, oldies, and i remembered we even sang X'mas and New Year songs back then! Haa... While a flu bug suddenly striked me along the journey, it certainly didnt dampen much of my moods.

We went Adam Road, Marina Square and lastly Geylang. While the foods were nice, the time spent with my Hall friends was cetainly more beautiful!

Here's one photo of some of us, taken just before we boarded the buses:

Saturday was outing with my platoon mates. ICT ended like just 2 weeks ago, and we r meeting again! The author of this blog was most unfortunate to be shot by an arrow to organise it (ORD liao still can kanna PS's arrow...). It was quite rushed and thus, pardon me if it wasn't a good job.

1. KBox @ Paradiz.
The system cock up that day. We sang halfway and then all the songs in the playlist would mysteriously disappear. That happened about 2 or 3 times! The service was worse. 3 cups of honey take like 1 hour to prepare??
