Back from traininnnnngggg! Woah!

It has been an amazing week to be on training with many other fun chaps! Actually it was sorta like a ntu gathering, since i suppose more than 75% were from ntu too. There were some others from overseas uni n i tink smu too, but since we were spilt into groups, i dint get too much a chance to interact with them.

Food!! There's nothing to shop in Penang, at least for the guys, so what can I do but eat eat eat!

Some takeaways from my training trip...

1. I must learn to shut my mouth when necessary. That I should always think before saying things, especially when I get too high...

2. Foot reflexology is more painful than ticklish for me. I think I am having many problems all over my body since I feel at least some pain in almost every part massaged, and intense pain in some parts. Generally my digestion system isn't good, my head/shoulder has some problems (i agree) and I should cut down on sweet foods. Haiz...

As for the technical takeaways, hmmm...

Karma occurs when, I fly other people's aeroplane, and then some other people fly me aeroplane too on the next day. So I dun really blame my friends la, coz I understand, since I myself did the same thing. Hah!

And yep, I'll be flying on a real aeroplane soon! Will be away for the week and back only on Fri, w/o autoroaming on hp this time. Hope it'll be enjoyable, and I need to think of smart answers when people ask me, "So, what have u been up to this period?"

Need to wake up in 5 hrs time... Byez~~

That's my new blog banner done using Photoshop! The results of my learning... ah... But actually, I really didn't read a lot coz all guidebooks do get boring after some time. The best way to learn something is to use it yourself and playing around with the functions, which can be pretty enjoyable sometimes and sickening sometimes. I'm still a noobie though, n some parts could be improved on, but i'm satisfied for now. Coz it's late and i'm sleepy...

I'm finally going to start work le! I'm quite looking forward to it rather than feeling a sense of doom approaching. Need to remind myself now, i love work, i love audit, i love OT, i love long long OT everyday n being underpaid! The things I hope for are helpful n friendly teammates (*pray I wun have to work with some people whom i dun really like* ssssssh... secret!) who can impart useful knowledge upon me, as well as seeing opportunities being open and given to me. =)

This could very well be my last Sunday staying up late to watch Guess, and my last remaining weekdays staying up late to watch SCV like 康熙来了，红色风爆，小气大财神 and other nice shows that are shown quite late. But I'm not complaining la... It's time... it's time...

I've decided... I guess I should give myself some time in audit and then see how. 1 year? A few months? Dunno... When the time comes, I will know ba.

In response to Gil's tag, I'll do the following wile watching Guess. I think I did something like this before, will just do one selected section ba.


7 random facts about me

1. I've ONE set of tarot cards bought 1 or 2 years ago. Used it a couple of times, and sometimes the results can be quite accurate. Like when I was asking about audit, and this card signifying long working hours through midnight came out. But I wun indulge too much in tarot too, rather, I use it once in a blue moon for some general directions in life.

2. I've TWO ear piercings on my left ear. Actually I had thought of having like 1 or 2 more, but they can get quite painful when I can't pierce my stud through. Anyway, I will be working soon in a not too open environment, so I can forget about having more piercings now.

3. I've lost THREE HPs altogether ever since gotten my 1st HP in JC Yr 2, and spoilt one. So after losing my most recent one this Jan, I have been on high alert for my HP always.

4. To play mahjong, FOUR people are required. And yeah, MJ has become one of my favourite hobbies since hall life. Even during NS, i didn't play so much and wasn't very good at it. Now, I enjoy MJ as much as I enjoy KTV, shopping and gaming.

5. These past FIVE and a half years have been my most memorable times of my 23 years of living. Both NS and NTU are things of the past now, but I cherish every moment of my these 5 years.

6. I used to think I had some SIXth sense when I was a child, or rather, I hope to have some sixth sense like reading people's minds. Especially now when everyone has grown up, who knows what are one's true intentions?

7. I've been slacking for SEVEN days a week ever since my exams ended a few months ago. No doubt I will miss these days in the future.

NBS Convo Ball

Aaah... Convo ball pics! Yeah la, I know I'm a bit late... ok quite late to be honest... But then, late better than never...



The first pic of this post, of course, must be my pic la!
Taken earlier in the car! Around 6pm... I wasn't as tired as I looked la, in fact I was quite excited. Just that maybe I was already prepared to set off some time ago, and then I switched on the TV and subsequently felt a bit sleepy...



Many thanks to smint's friend for driving us! Forgot his name, but he's a kind person la... haha. Thanks to smint for the lobang too! I forced them to take this photo, when we stopped at a red light!



Zenith was the name of our NBS Convo Ball! I dunno what it means, but at least, it doesn't sound too bad...
Dun u think that the hand that's creeping out to point at the "Zenith" is a bit out of place and a bit creepy? It's WH's hand, no doubt, but from this angle, it doesn't look like, right?
Or... was that WH's hand in the first place at all?? It was still the 7th month lor... eeeee...


This was one of the numerous pics taken outside the ballroom. Taken with Kelvin here! Basically we were looking for anyone we knew then taking photos here and there. I quite like this pic coz I looked tall here! Of course, not that I am that short in real life (180cm! ok la... 178... ok, 174... okok 171!!), but which guy doesn't want to look taller?

Table 27! There's supposed to be the 6 of us, including xp, but xp was unable to attend this Ball because she had a rashes outbreak! Poor thing...
Anyway, the other half of the table was invaded by 4 super chio ladies, also from ACC, and though we didn't know them well, everything went well eventually!



Hall 14!! Eh yy, my table also got nominate you for the Ball Queen (I think it doesn't sound right here... but i forgot the actual title...), with me strongly recommending u on my table... haa. There were 3 slots lor, and our table only filled in one name, which was yy's!
Hall 14... aaah... Only chio bus and yandaos are worthy to reside in this Hall, as seen in this pic!



That's me and SW, my army buddy! We've been through much together and he's one of my best friends, in army and now! Only thing is, he only wanted to smile widely in this pic and not pose like me... And i dun mean to be rude ah, but the pics that his friend took of us were a bit blurred... tsk tsk...

Me and gil, being punched! Gil mentioned earlier on msn that she might be wearing some retro polka-dotted dress! Hmmm if she did, she would be simply outstanding there... Hah! Anyway I liked this pic a lot, especially our expressions! They were just right, not too over!



Mr TYW and mi! He's great, coz I said, "Let's act cute!" and he went, "Eh, ok!" He was also game enough to go on stage later as a yodelling drummer wanking drums! Ha!

I realise that I knew a lot of mktg people... Out of the many people in BUS, I guess I knew the most from mktg, followed by econs, sorta know one guy from acturial, and that's all... Never knew anyone from B&F, IT and HR!

National Day Blues

Happy Belated Birthday, Singapore.

Gee... the wishes came a bit late, and as u can guess from my tone, i don't sound too excited by National Day.

At least, not initially. Firstly, I'm on holiday everyday now, and National Day as a public holiday doesn't excite me. Secondly, I seriously still dunno why Kaira Gong is selected to sing this year's song when she's just a newcomer, thus I'm not really paying much attention to this year's National Day songs. And lastly, National Day seems rather fake this year to me... I just can't feel the mood this year despite the pap hanging so many flags in my neighbourhood and on my blk becoz no one is hanging. Everything just seems so... u noe. x_X

Nonetheless, I am still moved when I see kaira's performance at the end as well as those fireworks in the sky. I'm suddenly reminded of my family and my friends. Yep. And I felt a bit emotional, esp when I heard "Home" again... "This is home, truly, where I know I must be." I'm reminded once again to treasure everyone around me before I lose the chance to do so.

WTF FOC

This past week was quite a busy week... It was the FOC week for Halls, so the kaypoh me decided to go back Hall to see the happenings in FOC. Think that the main comm n subcom put in a good job in organising a great experience for the freshies as I think most of the freshies enjoyed FOC alot.

And I could really feel some sort of generation gap... It seemed a bit hard to engage the freshies (female freshies are from 1987 one!) as they seemed to be in their own world always, in their own groups. Well, at least, they made new friends with one another...

Other than FOC, I also went around campus, engaging in some photo-taking in my convo gowns with some Hall friends. Honestly, I enjoyed being with my peers than in FOC... Coz the FOC isn't really meant for me, and I really felt a bit out of place there, and somemore, I dun really feel so attached to hall liao la.



Fright night... and 31 客窜 as 1 of the ghosts in her cosplay costume! She looked horribly scary, especially her eyes!! EEEEEEEE!!!



SP Night... Ciming (beside PQ) 客窜 as an Apus SA... We got along with her better than with the freshies. So, it really must be the generation gap.

So... this should be the last FOC i m going. 2 more weeks to starting work, and i m seriously anticipating it... zzzz...

Oh yeah, my favourite Superband, 迷路兵, won!!!! YESH they are the Superband!! Congratz to Nic, Weiqi n Sam, the 3 super talented and full-of-pattern guys!! Woah!



I've always supported 迷路兵 because they are truly talented. Young, and full of musical sense, judging by the arrangments of their performing songs. Other than J3's rendition of Xiao Wei, I think the other great performances all came from 迷路兵. Haa, i may be a bit biased, but seriously, 迷路兵 is really good lor, if not, why they win leh??

Aaah... Gil was from Table 17 and yeah, they wrote "Whisper" as well and got the others right as well! I guess they submitted sooner than us... So, yeah lor... haa...

Update for today:
- Went for the briefing for NBS Welcome Day... Well, it should be quite interesting, at least I hope so! Anyway, me and gil were not the only grads there, altogether there are a total of 5 grads in the noon's trg session. The other 20 are yr 1s moving onto yr 2s! So, you could have guessed how old I feel... Hah!

- Went with mab n yy to take some grad photos @ heritage centre and yunnan centre. Yay yay, and sorta mastering the skills in tossing hats, and taking photos of tossing hats!

- Will not be around my lappie for the next 3 days because I have paid for my Hall's FOC, and thus, I will be going for every second of it beginning tomorrow!
