phew my marketing project presentation is over... no more presentations n projects liao! Can finally concentrate on exams and other academic stuff liao...
During marketing tut our tutor mentioned about the article between NTU n SMU accountancy grads... That article btw was the link in my previous post, read it if u haven't... His opinion was dat SMU taught more on changing the mindsets n attitudes of their students, while ours taught skills, which over time will change in an ever-changing world...
I think that we can't really say which is better, after all SMU havent produced their 1st batch of grads yet even tho they earn good reviews from PWC n KPMG n such... But true, tink they r taught more relevant skills... like social etiquette, n even golf lessons...
Still remb last time i chose NTU over SMU, was in a dilemna when was accepted by both, took 1 yr out of my 2 yrs NS to decide. Actually i almost went to SMU, coz i never sent in the acceptance letter for NTU, so i thot they forgot me. Then later NTU sent me a letter asked me again, to cfm if i still want... den i accept lor...
Do i regret? No i dun. Of coz i do wonder at times wat would it be if i m in SMU now, thot about if the future there is brighter... But there is no time for regrets, I am about to finish my first year. Wherever I go, it's my attitude. It's my passion. Once the passion dies away, it's a futile effort to keep trying. I have to keep the flame burning...
The emphasis is not totally on grades, yet employers still good at grades as the basis... the Big 4 won't even consider u if u dun haf hons. But we all know that to survive we need more than 'A's, we need good social skills, good communication skills, the right attitude and humility. Employers expect a lot of employees, only the best get into the best.
And we need good rest as well... sleepy sia, hot weather out there, nice sun... maybe later go swim... more relaxed now... hehe...
