Today is saturday... let's take the time machine n traverse back~!

Thursday
Major event: Had BBQ! Organised by my NBS juniors, the BBQ was held in one of their condo's downstairs...Not bad la, although i forgot some of their names, but at least most were there, esp my favourite few... hee... But not very gd having BBQ in condo on weekday nite, coz residents there sleep early n were complaining bout our noise! Maybe coz its weekday ba.

Friday
Major event: Saw one person whom i sorta know n tok a few words with before in JP, selling pizza... n he's the boss of it! Well he's the guy in The Pizza Place at level 5, the spot where Anderson's ice-cream used to be. I think he's 2 years older than me, and he's a boss now! Haa but dun know him that well la, so only said "hey" n somoemore he's quite busy... But the food there is quite nice la, go eat k... haha... somemore now gt promotions, buy 2 get 1...
Oh btw i went there wif smint n wh after our AB214 preparation...

So sad that Singapore lost... the first match den the 2nd one...

The 1st one, poor Jia Wei was against the irritating N Korean girl... she's noisy n irritating by shrieking all the way(What is "chee chee cha"???). Maybe its all the pressure placed upon JW dat caused her defeat... Haiz...

Den the 2nd one... its a regret... but at least i dun find dis S Korean Kim irritating... she's calm n WOLS... haha but den steady sia...It's a regret to lose here but compared relatively to the 1st one, it doesnt seem so bad... Maybe coz its kinda expected? After all this Kim has a higer ranking n nice chopping skills...

And its such an ec... really EC gold for china lor... wahz... no fight at all one...

And JW is really one of the more chio female atheletes u'll find there... She looks so non-chalant yet so cool, and tho she's a sports player, she doesnt appear masculine either! Mei Nu! But then she's attached liao, to Susilo, another national player... Kinda romantic rite?? I mean, both r sports players, both r national sports players to be precise... So cool yet romantic... so this post shall be pretty *pink* in colour... hehe...

At age 21, i realised that there are still many things that i would wish to learn but cannot due to financial constraints...

1. Driving. Tink it's quite essential, but certainly not really now as i dun haf a car at home... But if i know now its definitely better... Nice to have a driving license in my wallet as well...

2. Play the piano. My mum told me that when i was young, she asked mi if i wanted to learn playing the piano and i replied no... But that was when i was young, how would i know whats a piano? But anyway even if i learnt when i was young, i would most prob forget it now as there would no space for a piano in my home anyway. Now i would learn to play it simply out of passion, but piano lessons are exp... so maybe when i start working ba...

3. To sing. My singing really sucks, maybe its at 20% now, maybe singing lessons will bring it up to 70%, which may be good enough for mi... I juz want to sound better singing in ktvs only... haa...

4. To play the guitar better. I know a bit of strumming but i know there is much room for improvement.

So many things to learn, and when i start working there wun be enough time for ALL that. But not when i m retiring too... But i guess i will find time in the future... hopefully...
I have time now but no money... muz it always be such a trade-off? I would rather have both at the same time... Study hard now, earn money in the future, den no time to learn what i wan to learn? Hmmm... haha...

Better dun tink so much now... haha...

Came across this beautiful poem...

"The night has a thousand eyes,
And the day but one;
Yet the light of a bright world dies
When day is done.
The mind has a thousand eyes,
And the heart but one;
Yet the light of a whole life dies
When love is done."

Francis William Bourdillon

I dunno if u still read my blog, but if u do, i juz wanna say that I do read ur stories online... =)

Not much constructive work done despite today is my free day... Maybe precisely its my free day thats why not much constructive work is done... Hmmm...

Went swimming in the late morning... Not much sun... Then went back hall and did the most constructive work of the day - cleaned my room! Swept and finally mopped my floor, changed my hamster bedding and bathed them, Now my room feels clean!

But i have a cold now... Guess is coz either of the cold water or of the swim... Using tissue after tissue now...

Another week... and almost half week liao...

Amazing how the week passes, and u've been wondering what have u been doing for the past few weeks... and u wondered what the lecturers have been teaching... All seems so fei4! Haa...

The latest news i heard is a piece of E-news that our Kit Chan will be quitting the Chinese pop scene, not the entire biz entertainment though... This latest album will be her last album that she will cut... And she is now in US with her bf for a one-year break...
One of our pioneers... All the best to her!

A few reasons why the NDP is worth watching this year...

1. It's the 'last' year where the NDP will be held in the National Stadium. Thereafter it will move to Padang as the stadium will undergo renovation works, which is likely to take a few years, maybe 4 to 5 years or even more...

2. It's the last year where our PM Goh will attend the NDP as our Prime Minister... He will officially hand over to DPM Lee on Aug 12. The special tribute to PM Goh was especially touching and memorable too...

3. My 1SIR CO (of 10th Mono), then-LTC Simon Lim is the parade commanding officer for this year's NDP. So watching my CO in action certainly brings back certain NS memories... He was quite a good CO, gives welfare but he also asks for results. He was quite approachable and seldom scolds us.

4. Kit Chan and JJ! Haven't seen Kit on stage for a very very long time... She still looks good and hearing her "Home" always gives me such a soothing and homely... Dun really like JJ's rendition but then, he's a talented artiste honestly. Although they were not singing live (which is always the case in NDPs), but watching them sing is such a wonderful feeling, esp seeing Kit... She has such a great stage presence, and seeing her rising on the platform was so "wow!"

5. The feeling of watching NDP. I would certainly appreciate it and enjoy it more if i was there, celebrating with people i know and people i dun know. And fireworks! One can only be mesmerized by a live display of fireworks, not by merely seeing them on TV.

Happy 39th Birthday Singapore!

Cannot log into my blogspot a/c for the past few days at home, now finally can!

I felt so cheated when i missed a gathering to watch the final episode of Xi Ling Men... All in the last episode was weeping and crying, with further elaboration on the story. Telling us to watch the sequel! And i though i could meet them after dinner, but dinner was prepared at 7 plus and ready at only 8pm... SO late, some if them had went home, others went to play dunno pool or mahjong and i didnt go... i take it as a money-saving opportunity... But i still feel cheated by mediacorp...

I had always told myself, TV is less important than friendships, and i shouldn't miss any outings or gatherings for TV... but that was what i did... Furthermore, for a real lousy weepy episode.

Saw a gay couple on train, and one guy was holding the other's hand... They were partially blocked by other people due to the crowd, but if one looked carefully, one can still see. And there were people who kept glancing at them, me inclusive... hehe... coz i was quite impressed by their courage to do so. They declared their love in the public, which may be met by disapproving eyes. Such strong love should be encouraged and instead of being discriminated.

National Day Parade is on TV now. I am going to watch it!

Pardon for not blogging so long...

Hall supper on thursday was great! There were no programs, just let them interact themselves, but i tink it was quite re nao... There was also quite a grand Blk Rep Election, with the blk reps requiring to introduce themselves and residents had to vote. Then the food, it was a bread theme, with hotdog buns, kong ba bao, curry with french loaves and ice cream on bread, n dessert honey sea coconut... Then later still got goodie bag giveaways to residents! Speaking of the goodie bags, i helped to pack those too, and it ain't easy packing goodie bags... So we must treasure our goodie bags, dun juz throw away all the unnecessary magazines etc...

Last night was supper outing with army frenz... Only one car... But it went along fine anyway. Nice of jiwei to keep driving n fetching people, like coming to ntu, den nus (that CK...), den SQ before we finally reached city harvest there n met up wif peck n SW... den ate sliced fish mee sua... Nice nice supper outing!

Eating more n more n excercising less n less lately... Hmmm unhealthy lifestyle...

And i wonder if i should buy my company law textbook... $64 leh! And moreover it's a local publication by victor yeo and our lecturer joyce lee... Even the AA102 costs $56 only (relatively i mean) and it's imported lor... Maybe i should just zap zap zap lecture outlines from my seniors. Expensive book!

Oh i dropped my BF307 PE n registered it as a GE... glad i did that!

It's time to be patriotic as National Day is merely a few days away!

Some people scorn at the idea of celebrating NDP, some choose to go on holidays. Some people sell NDP tickets at high prices and others just treat it as a public holiday.

This will be a long weekend for many people and I dun deny the fact that it's a great chance for a short trip overseas. But i prefer staying here and enjoying the atmosphere, even if it's just staying at home watching NDP... Havent been to an actual parade since young, no tix...

If you got tix do tell mi! Hee...

Cold cold day! But its the weather i like... i rather wear a jacket n walk around in it than sweating even in a tee n berms.

Had my first tutorial today which was AB214, Biz Communications. Since our group only has 4 people, there's this guy called something Huat who joined us... Hope he is someone nice to work with... Anyway the tutorial was quite fun, similar to OB style. But i think this one subject will drain a lot of time with presentations and written reports.

Dropped my Chinese GE as i think it would more realistic to do so... 4 Core + 1 PE = 5 Core, with some requiring more time than others, and with my running of JCRC, no time liao. That's why dun say i kiasu, now start studying and doing tutorials... With more hall events coming up, I would have less time to study as the semester passes.

Saw ms hoi at newton last nite! So qiao!

And i didnt win anything at mahjong last night... except for about $1, which, never mind lar... Got a few cases when i won big big, then subsequently lost my luck and those big big were used to finance my losses, so in the end, it was back to square 1...

Slept late late today, dun feel like doing anything... heez!
