NTU accounting exam answers leaked

ANSWERS for an accountancy exam at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) were posted on the school's website days before the exam, a student claimed.
A lecturer was notified by a student on Wednesday after the exam, that some coursemates had seen the answers online.
Some of the 350 second-year students taking the Accounting Measurement And Disclosure paper are believed to have brought the answers along for the exam, as they were allowed to bring their textbooks in.
But whether they used the answers, which did not come with the questions, is not clear.
Some apparently did not realise it was for the exam they were sitting for.
Exam answers are typically sent to the university's office of academic studies for safe-keeping after lecturers come up with them.
The university is investigating the incident and had not decided if students will need to retake the test.

Wow the informative me heard the news that for AA201 Accounting Measurement & Disclosure, the exam answers were posted on Edventure.
So what will NBS do?
And in the NBS forums, there seems to be an idiot who reported this to the press... If so, he's really an idiot! As if we havent heard enough about goody n sooo-outspoken SMU undergrads compared with no social skills and boh-chap NBS students!
And a 933 listener wrote an email to lingzhi complaining about NTU students hogging the lines during her show... another sore loser! Cannot call in then complain about NTU students... Sheesh!
Better not have anymore bad publicity about NTU... i can't stand it anymore... I want good jobs when i graduate please...

Second paper cleared!

And today, i cleared my 2nd paper, Financial Management...
It's not too hard compared with last semester's paper. But then, I made quite a number of careless mistakes, like in Accounting like that... Haiz!
Actually it doesn't really matter if the paper is hard a not... If many people get high marks, they would most probably push up the grades, and it will be harder to get a 'A'... But as if I can get 'A' like that... haiyoh...
Sleepy... but need to study stats, my next paper on thursday...

The Nicholl highway collapsed...
And who would ever have thought that such a thing would happen in Singapore? And the sad things is, the authorities have chosen to cease operations on searching for the 3rd guy, who risked his life to look for other victims, yet himself got trapped, and most probably, dead...
No one expected this to happen... I guess fingers will start pointing after the shock and commotion...
Another event that reminds us, once again, not to be complacent... Anything can happen... treasure things around us...
Only 4 months and quite a number of 'big' events... like the 2 armed robbers on Tekong, the recent blackout, and now this. And new SARS cases in China...

Sheesh! Today's accounting paper sucks!
Had to edit my post, the grouping is tonight, not yesterday...
American Idol tonight... Fox Network had the contestants split into 2 groups, make George choose one, one of the divas group consisting Jennifer, Fantasia and Latoya and the other of the rest... And... The diva group was in the bottom 3????
And Jennifer had the lowest votes???
OMG! What drama and tension! Confusion! How can the diva 3 be in the bottom 3??? I wonder if Fox tampered with the results...
And oh yeah, today's accounting paper is tough!!! So many theory questions, how to do?? And i even thought it's til 12.30pm... no time ah! >_<

Aiya how ah?? I haven't study the smaller book for accounting... arrgh... die lar... that book is ALL theory, and i know nothing much about accounting theory...
Oh no, i better study harder now... see lar, watch too much tv, just now still go forums chat, now still blogging... Maybe i should wake up tomorrow at 7am and prepare to go study room... wah seh...

Arrgh i didn't bring my charger home, now my handphone has no more battery life...
Watched NKF 2 today... An amazing round of efforts put up by our local celebrities. The part where I was most touched was not when they performed though, but it was one of the stories. The story about the mother who had to carry the burden of supporting her 6 children and ill husband. Would u imagine anyone nowadays still search the rubbish dump for food? She has to, at times, and she brings her children along to look for unwanted bread that people threw away in their rubbish chutes. There was once when electricity was cut off simply because she couldn't afford to pay the bills, and her children couldn't study. Sometimes, people asked, why are the uniforms of her children's so old and old and dirty. She didn't had a choice, she said tearfully on the show, as all her children's clothes were handovers from other people. If she could, surely she would want all the best for her children too.
No matter how much we disapprove the ways of raising money, that they are too cruel etc etc which i agree at times, but we must not neglect the artistes' efforts and tears and blood (Zoe Tay hurt her hand by a knife).
Their stunts have no direct impact on the lives of the patients. Maybe, true, people are donating because of their stunts. But that's the way the world works. Which company and organisation would simply donate their stuff like that to NKF? They want to advertise themselves. Mercenary? Hello, each firm is a profit-maximising firm. If they just donate like that, there would not be a need for such a show. And people would not know how generous they are.
Yeah NKF has so much reserves. But i guess so long as they do not disappropriate their funds, it's ok. The parts that touch people's hearts most are the stories of the patients, i guess.
And no, I am neither a spokesperson for MediaCorp nor NKF.
Back to other stuff... My brother has been occupying the TV quite often, always watching the sports channels, so many things to watch on those channels?? In spite of that and my exams, I still managed to watch quite a lot of TV... like talk shows by Tao Zhi... wow, black and dark entertainment scene... Oops yeah, i watched TV, quite a lot in fact, like Zhong Yi Da Ge Da, Wang Pai Jie Bang Ren, Fei Yi Ban Ma Ma, NKF etc etc...
Dear people, exams are just exams. Don't get too stressed over them. Don't neglect the people around you, your friends, your family, anyone whom you treasure, because you are getting so stressed for exams. Remember to get a breather when you should. Stay cheerful. I guess that's more important than getting excellent grades. =)

Hot weather!

Shucks! The weather is simply unbearable nowadays! You bathe, and once you get out of the bath room, you sweat. The effect of a 5 minute rain or so is simply null.
Managed to pass these two weeks safely without being mobilised! Good! After the exams I'll have to start training for my in camp training (ICT) in june. I don't think I can get gold again, but i don't want to fail anyway! Getting gold means a cash incentive of $400! Wow... have to try my best on that day.
Went out with weitong n huixin to bugis yesterday evening to bugis... Junie couldnt join us as she had a last minute assignment... We had dinner at a japanese restaurant there, quite nice. And i told weitong i will pass him his present after my exams... no time now to buy la... caught up with one another... Also, learnt that huixin will be changing her job, switching over as an external auditor (i think) on monday...
Blah blah... hot weather... let me get a shower now... =)

Blackout juz now! And i thot it's just my level, then realised it's the whole block, and the whole hall, and the whole stretch of halls along here, and the whole of NTU, and many many areas in sinagpore...
Haha... quite fun though... mi n neighbour n mr tan n pq went walk outside a while to hall 15 and back, talked around with hall residents, wished shanyi happy birthday...
When u r studying til sian, this is the perfect excuse! Can u can hear the girls screaming n people gathering around... hee...

Would u rather enter a room full of bees, or rather walk on knives? The 2 most scariest stunts performed by Jack Neo n Sharon Au respectively...
Personally i find Sharon's stunts more dangerous... An accidental slip would lead to hands and feet being cut n blood being shed... Was feeling scared and worried for Sharon all the way... Jack Neo's bees seem like normal friendly honey bees, but of coz, i would not deny the risk of the stunt. I am just so glad they got through safely! But dun u all agree that Sharon's stunt is just toooo dangerous???!!! Couldn't bear to watch at times! And that Cao, ask Jack Neo to remove his head covering and risk his head n neck to the bees... It's like, he just stand there and talk, he even dared to mention earlier... last year, wasnt it him who ask desmond to jump onto jack's stomach when he was lying in a sea of glass?? He said he will perform something next year, better mark his words!
Kudos to all the performers who spent time n effort coming all the way to Singapore to support the show... All the performers deserve a great round of applause! Even Sun Ho's, who i dun really like, but what she did was not what i would have expected, wow, painful... and i already hear critics that what she did was uncalled for, got put ma2 zhui4 yao4, was a mockery to the dialysis patients seeing needles poking into flesh once again... Give her a break! Stop criticising if it's just plain biasness against her. At least she did put in some effort.
With more dangerous stunts, there will be critics once again, complaining the stunts are too dangerous and uncalled for, when everyone can just sing and perform, ya know, those safe stuff. (Which I think it's not a bad idea osso lor...) But we learn in marketing, everything needs to be differentiated in order to sell. And yeah, NKF targetting the teenagers now, with Energy and Mayday n Lin You Wei etc... coz can use handphone and sms, and we know every streetwise teengaer has one nowadays. And it works, beautiful explosive telephone figures at the end of the show. All at the risk of artistes' lives... Haiz. U have to agree that NKF is good in marketing.
My favourite performer... Fan Wei Qi! Enjoyed her "Qi Cheng", thought the song really suits the show... To have hope and everyday is a brand new day... Mi Xue's one osso very pro, fly here fly there... haha...
It's easy for us to say, Be strong, we have not gone through what they have gone through. Just a few exams, a few projects, a few presentations and we are complaining and grumbling. When we should be grateful for a university education and make the best out of it. When others have to work and support their family. When others have to go for dialysis 3 times a week, 4 hours each session. When others have no means of support. When others have only tears to shed. When others find loneliness as their friend.
When was the last time we make an impact in other people's lives? I said "we" because i am saying that to myself too... we are all guilty. Watched "Passion of Christ" on saturday, well, i sae once again the ugly side of human nature, of betrayal and hate, resulting in the sufferings and persecutions of Jesus and His followers. ("Passion" in this case refers to the Catholic context, meaning sufferings.) And i wonder, what sort of love is it that truly compels a mortal to allow himself to be subjected to such humiliation and pain, even to the extent of crucifixtion? This show is more about the last hours of Jesus, so one can forget it if one hopes to gain knowledge of the gospels just by watching the movie. Blood and gore. You find a lot of this in the movie. But u will find some worthwhile scenes too, of loyalty, of faith and of love. Like Mary running towards Jesus.
We all do not know what tomorrow may bring. May we make an impact in people's lives everyday.

i noe spss n excel liaoz...

I spent my whole afternoon n evening in front of my computer... not playing or surfing this time, but figuring how to use excel n spss to get those stats figures... Yeah i know dun need to, but haha, actually quite fun n interesting to play with those numbers, adjusting until i get same final answers as those at the end of the book...
Now my eyes so sleepy after facing the computer screen for so long...
Today had lunch with class, and she came to sit with us... maybe yeah we are a bit mean, let her sit alone there, but it's like, if sit with her, what to say to her? If u all osso sit there, den it's fine, but dun expect me to sit alone with a stranger... regardless of who the stranger is, i would rather give excuses n be alone myself. I may be a sociable person, but i am osso a solitary person at times...
That is unless, of coz, the stranger is cute, if tHe pErson is cute... haha...

today quite a good day... mainly coz i tink my GE assignment not bad, got a few good points dat others failed 2 mention... Juz dat he wrote in the remarks dat it would be better if my structure is go by the point categorisation instead of per sentence, per paragrah... but he osso said no one did dat anyway. We all dunno our scores coz he didnt reveal, but mine should be not bad lar... hehe...
today is april fool's... the first joke i played was on PQ last nite when i told her got spider behind her... haha... den others ah, is juz sms-es only... when u grow up april's fool doesnt seem to be as interesting... haiz...
