Now that i have more free time, i have been going to the gym... less. is this human nature or what.
Bought a new pair of pedro brown leather shoes. Nice nice. Almost spent another 100 bucks to get their membership... control, control.
Reservist in 2 weeks time. Great, can network, time to be a social butterfly. But, can't close anything in that week. No make-up pay somemore. And its time to train for ippt. No camera phones allowed at all now. Wonderful.
i gonna work harder. there's these 2 other guys in the training class today who seemed to be those type aiming for mdrt one, and i happened to sorta know one of them. but then their agency seemed to be more garang type one. stressful but motivating. wat about peaceful and smooth sailing?

a cockraoch juz sneaked up beside me, and i killed it by smacking it. seriously. my house's breeding roachies and mossies. grrrr.

wisdom tooth

Having this pain in my mouth for the past few days... Went to the dentist who kindly slotted me in between some patients... And with a x-ray,
The dentist asked me, "You know what is a wisdom tooth operation?" Coz there's a wisdom tooth grinding its way out, and if it's not removed, it could set a food trap, then the other tooth might decay and i'll have to remove 2 teeth then.
啊... The pain isn't that bad now, so i haven't scheduled a date for the op. Maybe this slight pain would go away, maybe it'll be okay. *ouch* =(

第18届台湾金曲奖

Last year, I briefly blogged about 第17届台湾金曲奖. One year has passed... It's the 第18届台湾金曲奖!
Happened to catch this event on TV as I was channel surfing. Not so exciting this year... maybe coz my YZ is not there this year, and there are always some parts of the non-and-less-mainstream which I have totally no clue who they are. The only thing I want to know is, how many awards will hot favourite 苏打绿 garner out of their 7 (?) nominations?

A*Mei! The focus there, other than her boobs, should be on the diamond necklace and pendant. There's also the diamond earrings, bracelet etc, and she mentioned a figure of 1亿+... *Wow*
They played old videos of some celebrities at the beginning of the actual show, including A*Mei, Stanley Huang, Zhang Zhen Yue and Tao Zi. It's quite funny to see how they looked in the past and how they have transformed themselves to who they are today.
Jolin performed the opening act for the actual show with the song 舞娘. Seeing her dance is always *Waaaaaaa*
Jolin won 2 personal awards, the 票选最受欢迎女歌手奖 and the more prestigious 最佳国语女歌手奖.
Her thank you speech for the latter prize was very cool, coz her first thank you went to her critics and people who predicted she CMI, would not last, and that spurred her on. ANd she said it with such confidence! Woah!
Although I would like A*Mei to win, I have nothing against Jolin for winning this award. Her singing has definitely improved over the years and coupled with her dance moves, she's a sensation on stage.
Btw, i think the costume she wore with the plastic, hmmm. What's the plastic for?? It seems like a cheapskate umbrella cover. Jolin should just dump the plastic cover and flaunt her body.

The black horse. Ok yeah his singing is really good...
But what about Gary?? And JJ?? These 2 are more deserving in my opinion.
Here comes the hottest band now: 苏打绿!
Awards include 最佳乐团奖 and 最佳作曲人奖: 吴青峰《小情歌》.
Yippie! I was hoping Best Song would go to 《小情歌》 too tho.
Very touching to see them go on stage, receiving the ward and thanking people who have helped and supported them, like their teacher. I caught them on tv earlier for a pre-award programme hosted by Patty Hou and learnt that they are tertiary students, like us before. A bunch of music-loving enthu people who set up their own band, composed their own songs and performed for people.
They just make me feel that i could have done more in my uni days. While I have made many good friends, there could have been more vibrant memories in my uni days... I just don't have something that I am truly proud of.

Keyboard classmates!

I am stuck! There's supposed to be more things on this template but they refused to show up! Grrrr...
I have been taking keyboard lessons at Replugged Music for 1 year plus already, and I remembered i took it up during my final sem. And I always had to rush down to Bugis after AB312 tutorial in the evening for my keyboard lesson, after which I would take the mrt all the way back to hall. Then when I started working, I always had to miss a few lessons here and there which pissed me off. (Other than no make-up lessons for last minute cancellations, i lagged a lot last time). Now, we are in the "Performing" stage, but why do I feel I am still in the "Progressive" stage??

I love to be in this mon class! A is a real funny and chatty gal who sings pretty well too, while HH is steady with the keyboard.
Aaah i like this pic. I realised we didn't take with our instructor, Juliet. She very zai one!
Our school had a recital session a few weeks ago, where students put up performances as a form of stage practice. Feeling somewhat regretful that i didn't join in due to other commitments, coz it would have been a great experience. Performing for others can be a challenge, but its also a pleasure.
Never mind, next time got chance!

New Template/Nasir's wedding

It's a new layout! But I am still trying to figure out some things. There's supposed to be a header up there, and some colours here and there, but they vanished. And i dun have many photos inside my flickr, so it's very likely the same few photos will appear: from the steamboat and D&D. Hah. And it's already 2am and considering I have to work tomorrow, these things shall wait.
Wait. Work?
Yes! I passed the required exams and will be starting my first day of training soon! As a financial advisor! Eh it's quite tiring to answer people's questions like isn't it a waste, blah blah blah? Well if i did get into cabin crew, people would also say it's a 'waste' mah. (I didn't! Grrr) But seriously, no one know what is a waste a not until embarking on the path. This may be tough, but it's helping people in a way too.
Attended my first malay wedding on sat!
They had signboards there to direct us to the wedding! Nasir was formerly our mortar PC whom we all respected. One of the few officers worth respecting. Now he's our OC in reservist.
Our OC's quite a good catch, good-looking, officer, ex-captain of nus soccer team (i tink), good hons and a good career now. And yep his bride is beautiful too, but I dun know much about her.
He's more closer to the nus guys la.
Sweeeeeeet! I'm seated in front so i could easily take these photos with my new k800i! Aaah yes, my new baby! Sidetrack: I was actually tempted with k810i, but then it has the same specs as k800i, so what for pay more with a phone that only has a different number pad with funny looking round metal buttons? I would much prefer the N95, but budget leh.
Back to topic, dun they look sweet in pink??
I find it disappointing though that only 5 of us men from our platoon turned up. I think OC was too, when he asked CK where were the rest. I knew that some of the rest had genuine reasons but for the others, if our OC had taken the trouble to extend the invitation to us, i thought it would be rude not to attend.
Oh and i just came back from the gala preview screening of Gui Ah Gui Ah Men in White! A local comedy directed by Kelvin Tong. I was there coz i called in 933 last week! Wahaha!
Kelvin Tong's the one in suit. Leading actor and actress are Shaun Chen (2nd from left) and Ling Lee (3rd from left). And we saw stars there too like Felicia Chin, Pat Mok, Ix Shen etc. Saw Chongqing too whose hand was still in a cast, poor thing.
The movie's abit lame. But beneath that crappiness, i'm sure there's some things Kelvin wants to voice out through the movie, and i dun think i was wrong. Even the title seems so obvious right, and i dun think i'm thinking too much!
Ok it's 3am liao. 4 more hours to waking up to a full day training. Siao liao...
