Couldn't find my ring... that silver ring which spirals 2-3 rounds, that it looks like 2 or 3 silver rings i am wearing instead. Bought that ring during army days during one of our platoon outings in marina square, i think it was after some dinner and we hanged around here and there. SW n i decided to head home instead and we passed by this shop (can't remember its name, its like 77th Street and has a couple of shops all around SG too). And then we went in, looked around and I bought this ring. It has been with me since and is my favourite ring...
Somehow it went missing despite me searching for it everywhere. One of the last few times i wore it was during Hall D&D i think. Now I can't find it in hall or at home. Not sure where i could have misplaced it. I hope it will reappear again someday.
Some things bring to us special memories. It can be a photo, a movie stud, a pen, an old toy etc. Sometimes we keep them specifically or sometimes it happens when we ramage through our old stuff. Then we start to remember back our nice old days and we think about now and sigh... And we return back to today, and hopefully we will learn to treasure today more.
My ring brings back certain memories. Now my ring itself is part of my memory...

I slept at 5am again... no not studying this time, it was mahjong! Haa! I was resisting the temptation to play earlier because the game will probably drag for 2 or 3 rounds. But since RS, 31 & pQ decided to play for another round and were short of 1 player, plus I was getting quite sianz too, so I decided to stimulate my mind in a different way. One round only... okay la...
Playing mahjong is not only about winning... As RS said last time, we won't have a chance to MJ with one another in hall again. True, and she has already packed her stuff and moving back soon. And in the future we won't really see one another, maybe the last time during Hall FOC n convo...
RS mentioned something interesting during our game, that is, have we ever wondered why the Bamboo One tile is a bird, and not just 1 piece of bamboo? It looks a bit out of the rest, but that probably what makes it special. And MJ is really such a amazing game, sometimes u could just discard a tile, only to draw it again for the next 2 rounds continously. Sometimes u can draw all the other player's flowers but simply not yours. Then when u have no flowers and wanted to ping hu, and as u are waiting for that winning tile, a flower comes. U just have to agree that the tiles do have 'life' in them...
And it's not all about luck, even though luck plays a great part. Like when one player has a lot of tai2/fan1 already, the other players would be breaking out in cold sweat, wondering what to throw out next, and analyzing what tile the player should be waiting for. Yes I was that player who was expected to win with full tai/fan, waiting for pong pong hu and they thought I was waiting for half colour. Almost could have won, but 31 came in with a ping hu, spolier sia...
It was nice playing with them. I ended up with exactly what I started with, and I actually started the game expecting I may not win/lose anything. But yeah, as i said, winning or losing not as important as the company. Thanks gals for the fun and hope there will be chances to us to 切磋 in the future again! =)

Random stuff... Boh liao stuff...
1. Jetstarasia having super cool promotions for this week. Cheap airline tickets below $100, some going at $20! The thing is,booking must be done in this week and travel must be between July to Sep 2006. Makes me so feel like going for another trip...
2. SIA got a recruitment drive this week for cabin crew! Well not that I am interested in it... ok i might be a little bit interested but I dun think I can make it... Haa. I just thought it still seemed quite a glam job la (like how auditing seems professional... no?) Oh well whoever is interested can go and try out this weekend at suntec somewhere...
3. I somehow found Rainie Yang's blog! She's cute, especially when compared with the other poor attitude curly eyebrow gal. Maybe i shouldn't even compare. Rainie is so different because she doesn't go and try to act cute, especially when u see her in Guess x3. And somehow, she managed to get all the nice songs in her album.
4. I feel like going for a foot massage someday. It seems pretty, eh, fun? A foot massage can actually unveil the problems that u have wor... Although I am pa4 yang3 ie scared of being tickled, I am still interested to go and try out. I dunno if I'll be laughing or screaming throughout though, I may have too many problems on my body.
5. The green on my hair is slowly falling off. I guess it's due to me not using colour shampoo every night, which xm said can help to maintain the green. Well, when grass wither, it turns yellowish brown right? I think my head will look like a garden of withering grass soon.
It's 5.30am now! Since this is so, I shall generate 530 random questions to make me sleepy...
1. Why am I still awake? Because I was studying! Hah! Really.
2. Why did I choose my hair to be green? Well actually, blue is my favourite colour, but I had blue highlights before. And I thought green hair might be nice, so I chose green. Green isn't exactly one of my favourite colours (nothing to do with army, just preference la), but I am beginning to like green more now.
3. What will I miss most after graduating? NBS and my Hall. And I meant my friends in NBS and my friends in Hall 14. But I dun feel like writing a weepy post now...
4. What do I feel about the recent tragedy of the JC student commiting suicide because he felt his pte part was too small? Shocked. Anyway I thought this had nothing to do with sex education in schools, which the article mentioned. Biology doesn't teach you about the white blood cells we have in our body either. Ok not a good example, but read on. If sex education is going to include such sizes and stuff, it would not be appropriate either. I mean, if they put an average size, then there would be people falling out of it right. Not to mention they have to include sizes for females as well. So in the end, there will be more people feeling inferior when others start boasting. So... I thought this could have been prevented since he had signs of commiting suicide already. His mum should have sent him for counselling then.
5. What do I feel about the dialouge thingy, that the participants were rude? Let's see, quoting from CNA 19 April,
Said Yam Yu Jian, an undergraduate at Singapore Management University, "True enough, some of us didn't phrase our questions in the right way; our tone wasn't really the best. We went there as ourselves, and correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think any of us were ungrateful or impolite."
Hur hur. Well I never saw that uni speak, or perhaps it was not broadcasted on Nat TV. Anyway, so as ah jian said, they went as themselves, so I assumed that was their normal attitude lor, that themselves means not in their best tone always. *blink* Hey I used that blockquote for the first time! I believe I can do some formatting to make the quote look nicer... Let me go find out someday... 6. What do I feel about the upcoming elections on 6th May? Oh I hate it to be on that date! I planned to stay in hall and bia for my 304 and 306 over that weekend. With the election on that date, I must travel back home to vote, and I might probably stay at home for a while. If only I could vote in Boon Lay constituency (is there one?) for my Aljunied area. The most convenient would be internet voting. But then, that would mean even less privacy. If law enforcers can track who downloaded this and that mp3, all the more they can track who the internet user voted for.
7. ....
Ok 6 questions completed out of 530, but for now that's the end, I am sleepy le. And it's 6am now, and I think there are people who wake up at this time. But no, I am sleeping now, finally...

Notice something? My hair is now GREEN colour! Haa!
I went to colour my hair yesterday for free, as mentioned before. It was a hair product company who needed to show other stylists how to use their colours as well as how the end result will turn out. I decided on lime green out of the colours... Cool ah??
The process wasn't so cool though. There was this heater used on my hair to fasten the bleaching process, and I was under it for quite some time. I thought I was going to get cooked before my hair got bleached...
This is the view from the top. Some parts of the green appear to be lighter than others...
The green is not really that obvious sometimes, like in this photo. But in sunlight, woah! I'm literally, in the limelight!
And I just came back from JP. XM's bdae is coming, so we decided on a small treat for her @ this restaurant:
I haven't eaten at this place for a very long time. Ok la, the food serving is still quite large...
ZH, WH n Smint. ZH was wearing specs coz there's some sort of discomfort in his eye, and also some redness. And we thought that he doesn't look that nerdy in specs either, which he always thought so...
Both XM n Chris decked out in white, preparing for the upcoming elections... While we were talking, XM thought that the elections were not compulsory, and she could give the excuse that she was having exams then she could skip elections... Ha! But anyway, elections are normally held on saturdays...
Smint and I make good spokespeople for the ketchup and chilli. Any advertisers interested??
Ok I need to get back on my studies. I wondered what I have been doing for the past 2 days. And even today, half a wednesday has flew past without me doing anything constructive (except for eating, updating blog).
Some people have already finished their exams, and yet I still have one more seminar to go. Well well...
Not feeling very well... There's this nasty cold now that makes me drownsy...
My home PC's graphics card is confirmed spoilt. The same problem of an unreadable screen returned, with even more serious complications. The computer couldn't boot for a few times. The CD drive is not recognised when I tried to burn some CDs.
And I have this big red pimple on the side of my eye, plus a few smaller ones here and there. I need to get back the more expensive skincare products, but I guess I'll wait till when I am travelling next month, when toiletries would be much cheaper at the airport due to tax-free. My face is very high-class one, sensitive to cheap products. Sigh...
It's the 2nd last lecture for our semester. ..
U mean it's almost the end of our semester?? So fast??
Smint: Yeah!! And our exams are coming soon!! And then we'll be working!! Donz: Noooo!!
Better enjoy Mac now while we still can. Mac is much more cheaper in NTU than outside. Extra Value Meal only $4+, still can earn points. And with 1 free rice burger, one Mac meal is only $2+ when 2 people share!
And while we are still students, let's act cute more while we still can. Of course, we can still do so when we are working, but the feeling's different.
When we are working next time, we must remain humble ok? Cannot be so zhuai. See those 2? They earning more money soon, so start to zhuai le... tsk tsk!
Donz: Now I shout back to u! U zhuai for wat?? Smint: Arrgh dun shout!! Okok i will be qian xu!
And so, with humility, we will all remain as one happy family!

I seemed abit emotionally overwhelmed in my previous entry... Must have been the stress piling from studying the 2 quizzes. Well at least they are over, but as I returned hall to sleep today after 30 exhausting MCQs altogether, my subconsiousness suddenly reminded me of one quiz question. And somehow I remembered the numbers in my mind and without the question paper, my fingers happily punched the calculator while my brain happily worked out the correct answers =_= . And I couldn't sleep after that liao, coz my fingers and brain are happy that they finally got the right answers but my heart isn't happy coz the answers came a bit too late... It's amazing how our subconscious mind works. I guess the genuises are the ones who can make their subconsciousness work concurrently with their conscious minds in the midst of stress. That must be the secret formula, by embedding knowledge in the subconscious mind unconsciously.
Anyway, my hair is black now. Charcoal black. No, black is not the funky colour, just that my previous colours were rather messy so the stylist wanted a uniform background colour before he could colour my hair next week. I haven't seen myself in charcoal black hair since... since... never mind, but xp n hmm actually commented I look good in black hair. Well, it does make me look more decent (But maybe it's the person la... Looks good in whatever hair colour mah...)so I am still fine with it. I guess it makes me look different in a positive way.
I can proudly say now, I am Asian and I am proud of my black hair! =) Until next week, at least...
I am appalled and disguisted at the behaviour of those studying in seminar rooms and tutorial rooms who guard their territory by putting notices at the doors, "DND!" "Room in Use". One even had the cheek to write, "This room will be in use until XX May", where I presume XX May to be the last day of exams for the people inside.
Sweeties, the rooms so do NOT belong to you. What right do you think u have to book the room like that? I would have loved to walk into your rooms while you are mugging and study in the same room as you, because I can't stand people like u who think u have the right to something that u dun. Oh did I mention that some people even pasted newspapers on the glass panels of the doors so that people would not peep inside? Hur hur, are they having sex inside??
WH said perhaps they put notices to prevent people who are also looking for rooms to study to open/close the doors and thus distracting the people inside, but still, its an outragous form of disrespect to other NBS students when they shamelessly declare a public area as their own. Of course, they have a right to study in the seminar and tutorial rooms since they came first, and they could be in there as long as they want. But surely NOT to the extent to proclaiming it as their room and telling others to leave them alone, or booking it until the end of their exams just by using a sheet of rough paper with ugly handwriting.Or pasting newspapers to prevent even a glimpse from outsiders.
If you really want privacy so much, please go and rent a private place somewhere. I'm feeling kinda tired for you, thinking of the time u spent to write notices to book the rooms and to paste up newspapers. Gee, in the event that u are haunted by a ghost at night and you are trapped in the room like some Jap or Korean movies, I really do hope that there's no one to disturb you until the end of your exams. Hope you are still alive by then, with all my love.
Oh if anyone reading this happens to be one of them, I really dunno u are one of them as I am referring to "them" as a whole, as a general term. No personal feelings.

Gosh my employment date has to be the latest out of the 3 dates! Well... Maybe they DID take my comments seriously then, when I said most of us (ok the "most of us" refers specifically to me... ) would prefer a longer break this sem due to PA last sem. And that some of us guys may need to go for reservist during the sem break. Therefore, perhaps they took note secretly and might as well allocated me to the last date so that I dun have to switch later, saving me trouble, saving them trouble. But hor, my reservist in end June, I can work in July leh...
Anything la. Ahhhh... I can slack more, like find some good MMORPGs and level up asap. I can train on my keyboard everyday. I can take up more lessons like vocals. I can shop everyday. I can go for another short holiday. I can go gym, swim and suntan more often. But I'll become poorer. Wait! Most of the people around me are working earlier than me! I guess I must meet up with them more often...
"Eat buffet? Sure! But then, u working leh. U treat lah!" "Only 1 KTV! U all got money liao, should pay for me lor!" "Let's go for a drink!" *Bill comes* "Ahem, I not working yet wor..." (1st pay must treat, it's a good luck sign)
When everyone has gotten his/her first pay and then thinking how to spend it, I am still surviving on a miserable mearge amount of money. (Can't get my Zen Vision or a new hp so soon le.) Not to mention that they might have a slight advantage. (Ok la, I dun think i m too stupid...) But it's a trade-off lah. At least I will have much time to myself, to finally enjoy life for a while. =)
Hmmm if everything goes well, I should be getting funky colours on my hair for free soon, thanks to YW! Hah! No it's not the loreal thingy (where smint got a mushroom-like hairstyle that could be cool or obiang in the eyes of different people). I should get some bright colours on my hair before i go reservist or start work in a few months time... I've got blue before, so this time... Green? Pink? Red? Or perhaps a rainbow ofcolours...
Oh the person said she needs 3 more gals, 2 also for funky colours and 1 for perming. If anyone is interested, do approach me or leave a message somewhere. The place is in Paya Lebar and u have to be free on 18th April.
Yay I found the video of Zhiyang singing singing with Sin Huey in the Campus Superstar finals! A superb rendition of “恋爱达人" by 小S and 小猪。
I have the feeling that Mediacorp knows that our exams are approaching, because somehow, I dun seem to find anything to watch on TV. The few things I watch on free-to-air in hall now are Survivor, Amazing Race and Apprentice, and incidentally all are reality shows. Then today, there's no Amazing Race, like there's no Survivor for some few weeks ago. Nothing to do but to study for my 2 quizzes next week, while others are currently bia-ing for exams. And while others playing games still... "Aaargh!" "CB!" "SML!" Why so free one...

I was watching campus superstar finals on TV last night. I never followed this series, maybe coz I feel kind of old whenever I see those jumpy hoppy kids in school uniforms, cheering and screaming and being super hyper. Furthermore, those on the stage sing well too. Youth = Lotsa potential + Sing well = Makes me a bit jealous and envious. Hrrmpt.
Ok on another issue, dun talk about the contestants. Look at the audience. When was the last time, as an adult, that you shouted and screamed like hell? For me, I dun really recall. Maybe 1.5 years ago, at the F.I.R. campus concert? Or the F.O.C. camps I attended in Year One? (Watching LT @ the finals somehow isn't really high...) And in fact, in some instances, there will be a few anti-high people who just refused to be high. "Cheer for wat? I wan act cool". And these people always go "sianz sianz sianz" wherever they are. I really detest to be with such people, who simply have zero enthusiam in life.
So back to Campus Superstar where there are always critics saying what, it's unethical pushing such contests to kids and promoting fame etc., I think it's a good idea that kids pursue their dreams from young. Maybe such dreams are unrealistic, but as long as they dun be too obsessed, I see no wrong. Some of them do have potential to make it big in the entertianment circle though, so it's really not totally unrealistic.
