I lost this phone on Tuesday 17 Jan 2006...

Motorola e680

And now, my new phone is...

Motorola Razr V3

It is a real cool phone. Despite the fact that more and more people are carrying it now, the phone still oozes sexiness and a "wow" factor IMO. Maybe it's my first flip phone, but I just feel wonderful carrying the phone around.

Both the e680 and V3 are by Motorola. I'm such a loyal supporter of Motorola now! Maybe I should do a slight comparison between the 2 phones.

They belong to different worlds. The e680 is a performance phone, with a Linux system. It has a super big screen, and is great for playing games and watching videos. It is a touch-screen phone, so it's also cool in a way, whenever I took out my stylus and tapped here and there on my phone. With 2 speakers at the back, there is 3D stereo sound and it's good for HP music blasting (like on the MRT). It has been a good mp3 player and radio companion for me everywhere I go. Just that, I hoped the phone could be lighter and thinner. And one thing I disliked most is that it could not ring and vibrate at the same time. But then, nothing is perfect. IMO it has really been a very good phone.

As for the V3, after 4 days of usage, I really think that it's just a beauty phone. Come on, it has no radio, no mp3, no memory card expansion etc. But it sure boosts my ego. Just because it's black, it's thin, it's light and it's forever so sexy. Just that... I need to get a mp3 player now...

And oh, I returned home to realise that my dad had bought a new phone...

Nokia 3230

And I though Nokia phones are still as user-friendly until I tested it out. Omg, are Nokia phones getting harder to use or is it that I have not used a Nokia phone for a very long time? It just seemed terribly complicated to use as it seemed to incoporate too many features. Take for example, the main menu with about 15 icons, some of which I think will be accessed only once per month? And to reach some features, like to change the ringtone, I have to press many times. I wonder how long my dad will take to adapt to it, considering that even I found it hard to use. Eh, he didn't even know that the joystick could be shifted left/right/up down. He thought it was only for pressing and he was wondering how to shift left or right... -_-"

New year, new phone! But no more new year clothes. Haiz.
